Title or Location: Proud and strong
I haven't picked up a paintbrush in over a year but had an overwhelming urge to paint this for my mum for mother's day. She had asked me for an Eagle several years ago but I never seemed to find the time. So I managed to do this in 2 hours before she arrived for dinner. I love talking about painting as part of my coaching business and how anything is possible if you put your mind too it. I couldn't paint 4 years ago but persistence does pay off.

Title or Location: Tras a Catalan dog
Hi I am a self taught artist and painting in acrylics has been my hobby for the last 12 years. Tras was a female dog who belonged to a friend who lives in Barcelona. After Tras had passed I decided to have a go at a dog portrait and it turned out very well. I gave it to my friend as a thank you for the kindness they had shown me over the years. Since creating this picture I have been asked to do several more dog portraits. They can be seen on my Facebook page and my newly created Instagr

One of my lines of enquiry is the notion of transcience and regeneration in urban environments and how skylines change and evolve over a period of time, boasting architectural treasures from different periods., creating a great juxtaposition between different building types, such as sthe old chapel with a tower resembling a Venetian campanile and the modern glass skyscrapers. The painting was completed in 2019 in gouache and the sky based on a photograph I took early in the morning.

An experiment using soft pastels on stretched canvas. The texture of the canvas lent itself to the pastels quite well. The image is based on a photo taken by a friend visiting Venice, Italy. By using more vibrant colors than the original, I believe it became more magical.

After taking up mandala painting in my late 60's during lockdown I decided to experiment using fabric scraps withing the design. This is the result of my first try. I am going to expand on this idea in the near future once I obtain more fabric scraps.

Title or Location: New beginnings
I'm new to oils and painting, I would say my style would be fine art and surrealism, no rules and I can escape, experiment and have fun. I painted this scene as I'd came across a beautiful photo of calla Lilly valley in California, I use the idea but made it my ownwith the colours and changed parts of it, I like the perspective and the enchanting mysterious vibe it gave. Returned to art almost a year ago, still finding my way, but determined, excited and fully motivated to reach my potential,
